GFX Radiofrequency Treatments : Cincinnati

GFX Radiofrequency Treatments - New Technology Targets Motor Nerves

GFX Treatments - The New Botox Alternative

Botox is popular, but it's a temporary fix and expensive. So there's a growing demand for more, minimally invasive options. GFX is the newest technology that targets facial nerves to relax facial muscles. It may not only last longer than botox but provide a more natural look.

Instead of injecting botox to stop a nerve that is transmitting to the muscle we use GFX radiofrequency to precisely target the nerve so the muscle will no longer contract and frown.

The patient is first numbed. Then a thin probe is inserted under the skin. We then search for the problem nerve that's causing the wrinkling of the brow. Then the GFX RF energy is delivered, zapping the nerve in the forehead with heat. We can be extremely selective as to what nerves we are knocking out and what we are maintaining. This results in softening of the facial lines, giving your eyebrows a lift while persevering other nerves so the forehead is not completely stiff, so you have a more natural look.

GFX Technology - Removing wrinkles and frown lines without botox or surgery

GFX is a novel subcutaneous lesion generation system utilizing bipolar radio frequency (RF) technology to target motor nerves, (nerves that initiate muscle action). An effective “nerve block” applied to the motor nerves initiating this muscle action has been shown reduce or eliminate such action1.

Bipolar Radio Frequency has been used in lifesaving cardiology treatments for over 10 years.2,3 Advanced Cosmetic Intervention has adapted this safe and proven technology to precisely generate an area of ablation on targeted structures. Using the patent pending GFX system, your doctor can locate and treat these structures.

GFX Treatment Technique

The skin is cleansed and disinfected. Markings may be made to guide the physician to the precise area to be targeted. An anesthetic will be injected to minimize discomfort. A tiny puncture is made in the skin and the GFX needle probe is then inserted. Structures are located through a painless process of electrical stimulation. Using this technique the physician can precisely locate the targeted structure in preparation for treatment.

A precise and controlled dose of RF energy is applied, effectively ablating a tiny section of the targeted structure. Ablation of a section of motor nerve is known to disrupt signals being sent to the muscle1. These nerve impulses are what cause the muscle to contract. Once this communication is disrupted, muscle contraction may be effectively reduced.
