Laser Tattoo Removal is the gold standard treatment for removing unwanted tattoos with the least risk of damaging normal skin. We use a frequency doubled Nd:YAG (Neodinium: Yttrium, Aluminum, Garnet) Q-switch laser to essentially shatter the ink pigment into even smaller pieces. These are partially exfoliated or else more easily eliminated by the body’s defense mechanism.
After each treatment, ink fading continues over a period of weeks. We recommend waiting at least 6 weeks between treatments for best results. It can take 5-10 treatments on average to remove a tattoo, sometimes less, sometimes more. Used correctly, there is minimal risk of scarring or skin discoloration. Please look at the charts below to score your tattoo. The lower your score the easier it will be to remove and vice versa.
