Meet Sarah Lockwood, MSN, RN, AGACNP-BC
Board-certified nurse practitioner
Sarah is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 13 years of nursing experience and a clinical background rooted in wound care and surgical practice. Her years of caring for patients with complex wounds, surgical conditions, and challenging healing concerns have given her a distinctive understanding of the skin: not only in how it looks, but in how it functions, repairs itself, and responds to treatment.
That experience naturally led Sarah to dermatology, where she combines her knowledge of skin integrity and healing with a growing focus on the diagnosis and management of medical skin conditions. She approaches each patient methodically, looking carefully at the history and characteristics of a concern before developing a treatment strategy. Her goal is to provide care that is clinically sound, practical, and tailored to the individual patient.
Sarah's surgical background has also influenced her approach to aesthetic medicine. She has a strong appreciation for anatomy, proportion, precision, and subtlety and believes aesthetic treatments are most successful when patients continue to look like themselves. She works with patients to identify the treatments that are most appropriate for their individual concerns rather than encouraging treatment simply for the sake of treatment.
Patients appreciate Sarah's straightforward communication style and her willingness to have an open discussion about what a treatment can, and cannot, accomplish. She takes time to explain options, answer questions, and establish realistic expectations before moving forward.
For Sarah, excellent dermatologic care is a combination of clinical judgment, technical attention to detail, and trust. Whether she is evaluating a medical skin problem, helping manage a healing-related concern, or creating an aesthetic treatment plan, she strives to make every patient feel that their concerns have been genuinely heard and thoughtfully addressed.
