CoolSculpting Elite

CoolSculpting Elite freezes stubborn fat cells until they crystallize and die, and your body clears them away over the following weeks. No incisions, no needles, no anesthesia, no downtime. It is the latest generation of the world's leading non-invasive fat reduction technology, with dual applicators that treat two areas in a single sitting.

How CoolSculpting works

What isCoolSculpting Elite?

CoolSculpting is built on a simple piece of biology: fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than the skin, nerves, and blood vessels around them. The applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling that crystallizes the fat cells underneath while leaving everything else unharmed, a process called cryolipolysis. Over the following weeks your body metabolizes the dead cells and flushes them away for good.

Elite is the newest generation of the platform. Its redesigned applicators fit the body better, capture more fat per cycle, and treat more comfortably, and because the system runs dual applicators, we can freeze two areas at once. You may feel intense cold, tingling, or tugging for the first few minutes; the area then goes numb and most patients read, work, or nap through the rest of the cycle.

After each cycle we massage the area and follow it with Z wave, a photoacoustic treatment clinically shown to break up the frozen fat cells more effectively than manual massage alone. Then you simply go back to your day. Studies show up to a 24 to 25 percent permanent reduction in fat cells in the treated area from a single treatment.

Who is CoolSculpting Elite for?

CoolSculpting is for people near their ideal weight who want to freeze away the pockets that diet and exercise ignore.

A consultation settles it honestly. We review your medical history, since conditions like cryoglobulinemia, cold urticaria, Raynaud's disease, a hernia near the treatment site, or a pacemaker rule CoolSculpting out, and we tell you plainly whether freezing, heating, or another approach entirely will get you the result you want.

You are close to your goal weight

CoolSculpting is a contouring treatment for stubborn pockets, not a weight-loss solution, and it is not suited to patients who are heavily overweight.

You have pinchable fat

The applicator draws in a distinct, squeezable bulge: a lower belly, love handles, bra fat, a double chin.

You want no downtime at all

There is nothing to recover from. Patients return to normal activities immediately, no compression garment required.

You are in good health with no cold sensitivities

Conditions such as cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or cold urticaria are contraindications we screen for at consultation.

You are patient with gradual change

Your body clears the frozen fat over weeks, so the result builds quietly rather than appearing overnight.

Where CoolSculptingElite works

CoolSculpting Elite is FDA-cleared for nine areas of the body. The abdomen, flanks, and thighs are among the areas we treat most often, but anywhere with a pinchable pocket of fat is a candidate. CoolSculpting works just as well for men as for women, most commonly for the abdomen, flanks, and chest.

Pricing depends on the number of cycles your plan calls for, and buying cycles in packages brings the per-cycle cost down. You receive an exact quote at your consultation. CoolSculpting is cosmetic, so insurance does not cover it.

Most cycles run about 35 minutes; larger applicators take up to an hour. Dual applicators treat two areas at once, and you can watch TV, work, or nap under a blanket while the system runs.

You return to normal activities immediately. Temporary redness, swelling, numbness, or tenderness in the treated area is normal and fades on its own over hours to days.

Change begins to show within about three weeks, with optimal results at two to three months and continued improvement up to six. Many patients reach their goal in one to three sessions, each removing up to 24 to 25 percent of the fat cells treated.

Frequently asked questions

Is CoolSculpting Elite painful?

Most patients find it comfortable. You may feel intense cold, pressure, or tugging when the applicator starts, but the area typically goes numb within five to seven minutes and the sensations subside.

How is Elite different from original CoolSculpting?

Elite is the latest generation of the platform, with redesigned applicators that fit the body better, capture more fat, and treat more comfortably, plus dual applicators that let us treat two areas at the same time.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends on your goals and the size of the area. Many patients reach their result in one to three sessions; we recommend budgeting for at least two, spaced about six to twelve weeks apart.

When will I see results?

Results begin to appear within about three weeks, with optimal results at two to three months. Improvement can continue for up to six months, and some patients need a second or third treatment before the change is significant.

Are the results permanent?

Yes. Studies show up to a 24 to 25 percent permanent reduction in fat cells in the treated area per treatment, and once those cells are eliminated they do not return. A stable weight preserves the result.

What areas can it treat?

CoolSculpting Elite is FDA-cleared to treat nine areas, including the abdomen, flanks, thighs, upper arms, chin, jawline, and back. In practice, any area with pinchable fat is worth discussing.

Is there any downtime?

None. You return to normal activities immediately, no compression garment required, and can exercise again within a few days depending on soreness.

What is Z wave and why do you add it?

Z wave is a photoacoustic treatment we apply after every CoolSculpting cycle. It is clinically shown to break up the frozen fat cells more effectively than vigorous manual massage, helping you get the most from each cycle.

Can men get CoolSculpting Elite?

Absolutely. Men most commonly treat the abdomen, flanks, and chest.

Who should not get CoolSculpting?

Anyone with cold-related conditions such as cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, cold urticaria, or Raynaud's disease, and patients with a hernia near the treatment site, a pacemaker or defibrillator, or certain nerve, skin, or bleeding disorders. We review your full medical history at consultation.

Are there risks or side effects?

Expected side effects are temporary: redness for a few hours, swelling and tenderness for a few days. Rarely, patients develop paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, an unexpected increase in fat cells in the treated area. We review every risk with you before treatment.

Is CoolSculpting a weight-loss treatment?

No. It is a body contouring treatment for stubborn pockets in people near their ideal weight, and liposuction remains the stronger option when a larger reduction is the goal.
