Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal uses concentrated light to disable hair follicles at the root, without damaging the surrounding skin. Over a short series of sessions, hair stops growing back the way it used to: no more shaving, waxing, ingrown hairs, or razor bumps. Our platforms are FDA cleared and safe for all skin tones, including darker skin.
What is laserhair removal?
Laser hair removal sends quick pulses of light into the skin, where the pigment in each hair absorbs the energy. The heat travels down the shaft and disables the follicle, so it stops producing hair. The surrounding skin is left alone, and built-in cooling keeps each pulse comfortable; most patients describe it as a quick snap, like a rubber band.
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only catches follicles in their active growth phase. That is why the treatment is a series: most patients need six to eight sessions, spaced about four to six weeks apart, each one catching the follicles the last one missed. Small areas like the upper lip or underarms take 10 to 15 minutes; a back or full legs can take 30 to 60 minutes.
We have been doing laser treatments in Cincinnati for over two decades, across thousands of sessions. Settings are customized to your hair color, hair density, and skin type, and our Nd:YAG wavelength is what makes treatment safe and effective on darker skin tones.
Who is laser hair removal for?
Laser hair removal is for anyone tired of paying for smooth skin over and over again.
Because the laser targets pigment, it works best on darker hair; blonde, gray, white, and red hairs may not respond. At your consultation we look at your hair and skin together and map out an honest plan, including how many sessions to expect.
You are done with shaving and waxing
Unwanted hair you currently manage with razors, wax, or tweezers, anywhere on the body.
You get ingrown hairs or razor bumps
Disabling the follicle ends the cycle of bumps and irritation that shaving creates, a common reason men treat the beard line and neck.
Your hair has pigment
The laser is most effective on darker hair. Light blonde, gray, white, and red hairs respond poorly.
Any skin tone
Our systems are designed for all skin types and tones, including darker skin, with settings customized to you.
You will complete the series
Hair grows in cycles, so results come from finishing the recommended plan and staying on schedule.
Where we removehair
Laser hair removal can be performed on almost any area of the body. These are the areas patients ask about most, for women and men alike.

Coarse hair along the chin and jaw, cleared over a course of sessions. Hair grows in cycles and the laser only reaches follicles that are actively growing, which is why a series is planned rather than a single visit. Drag the handle to compare.

Small areas like the upper lip or underarms take 10 to 15 minutes; larger areas like the back or full legs take 30 to 60 minutes.
You can return to normal activities immediately. Expect temporary redness or mild swelling, and avoid sun, hot showers, and abrasive scrubs for 24 to 48 hours.
Treated hairs shed within 7 to 21 days, with improvement after every session. Most patients see long-term reduction after the full series, with any regrowth lighter and finer.
Frequently asked questions
How many treatments will I need?
Most patients need 6 to 8 treatments, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart. The exact number varies with hair density, growth cycle, skin tone, and the area treated.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
It delivers long-term hair reduction. Many patients see permanent reduction after completing their plan, with any regrowth lighter and finer, and occasional maintenance sessions may be needed.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe a quick snap or slight sting, like a rubber band. Cooling built into our laser systems keeps each pulse comfortable.
Can it treat all skin tones?
Yes. Our systems are designed for all skin types and tones, and the Nd:YAG wavelength we use is what makes treatment safe on darker skin.
Does it work on blonde or gray hair?
The laser targets pigment, so it works best on darker hair. Blonde, gray, white, and red hairs may not respond well; we tell you honestly at your consultation.
How much does laser hair removal cost?
Cost depends on the size of the area and the number of sessions your hair needs, so we provide a personalized quote at your consultation.
What is the aftercare?
Avoid sun exposure, hot showers, and abrasive scrubs for 24 to 48 hours, skip strenuous workouts and hot baths for the first day, and use gentle fragrance-free products and moisturizer.
How do I prepare for a session?
Avoid sun and tanning for two weeks before, shave the area 24 hours ahead (do not wax or pluck), and arrive with no lotions, oils, or deodorant on the area.
Can I wax between treatments?
No. Waxing or plucking removes the root the laser needs to target. Shaving between sessions is fine.
How soon will I see results?
Treated hairs shed within 7 to 21 days of each session, and the area gets progressively smoother with every visit.
Can men get laser hair removal?
Absolutely. The back, chest, neck, beard line, and shoulders are the most common areas for our male patients.
Is it safe?
In the hands of experienced professionals using FDA-cleared equipment, laser hair removal is extremely safe. We have performed thousands of laser treatments over more than two decades.
